Hair Conditioner Mayonnaise

Conditioner acts as temporary filler that smoothes out chinks in the cuticle layer. This keeps strands from tangling around each other as you brush and style your hair. Conditioner also forms a protective seal around hair, which forces the cuticle to lie flat - this flat surface reflects light and makes hair shine.

The hair conditioning treatment also helps to counteract dryness. Dry hair and spilt ends can benefit by regular conditioning. You may also find that the hair becomes charged with static electricity, just after the shampoo. This gives the hair a 'fly away' look and is also difficult to manage.

Mayonnaise homemade hair conditioner
If you have dry hair, try mayonnaise as it's a great conditioner. Depending on the length of your locks, apply approximately half a cup of mayonnaise to your hair. Leave it on for at least 15 minutes to let it work, it's magic. Rinse well and then shampoo as usual.

Regular massage of fresh amla mashed to a paste will do wonders. The application of this paste will improve the colour of hair (delay the process of greying), prevent your hair from falling and moreover has a cooling effect on the entire system.

COCOA MINT LIP BALM
1.5 oz. cocoa butter (non-deodorize)
1 oz. beeswax
1.5 oz. shea butter
.01 oz. pure Vitamin E
20 drops peppermint essential oil (optional)

You may wish to less or no peppermint if you don't like the "tingle" that peppermint leaves behind on your lips; the sensation disappears within a few minutes of application) In a heat proof measuring cup with a lip for pouring, melt together the cocoa butter, shea butter and beeswax over a double boiler. Once the butters and wax have completely liquefied, remove from heat. Stir with
a pop sickle stick to ensure the mix. Add Vitamin E and stir to incorporate. Add the essential oil and stir to combine. While mixture remains hot, pour into lip balm containers. Basic Lip Gloss
Ingredients:

6 Tablespoons Glycerin
50 Drops Lip Balm Flavoring
10 Drops Liquid Food Coloring

Mix together glycerin, flavoring (I use green apple) and ordinary food coloring (I used red) in a small cup with a pour spout. Fill a roll-on lip gloss bottle about 1/4 with this mixture. Fill remaining space in bottle with light oil such as sweet almond oil. Be sure to leave a little room at the top to insert the roller ball assembly. I've heard that you can add a little mica or glitter, but I've also heard that it may clog the roller.

Lip Balm
Ingredients: 1/2 ounce beeswax beads
4 ounces sweet almond oil
1 teaspoon colored jojoba beads
2 teaspoons essential oil or food flavoring oil
We carry Cherry & Banana flavoring oils.

Some good essential oil choices that are nice are Tangerine, Lemon, Sweet Orange or Lime. The citrus oils seem to be popular for this application.

Utensils needed: 8 ounce glass measuring cup, teaspoon measuring spoon, stainless spoon for stirring and 1/4 ounce lip balm jars.
Put the 4 ounces of sweet almond oil in measuring cup, add beeswax beads and jojoba beads and melt in microwave. Stir with spoon, and when cooled a bit, add essential or flavoring oil. Pour into lip balm jars, and when cool, label.

Also, if you want to keep your lips the centre of facial attraction, apply lipstick with due attention. More details about it have been given in the 'makeup section' of this site where it is explained in details as to how you should apply lipstick.

If the balanced of the skin becomes disturbed especially through poor nutrition the functions associated with the skin cells cannot act in a balanced manner and can result in dryness, excessive oiliness, and inability to protect against infectious organism. The most rigorously followed healthful living plan necessarily includes a nutritious diet, purewater, regular exercise in the fresh air, adequate rest and sleep, sensible stress management.

Blend all together. Best if you let it sit for 24 hours or so before bottling. This works OK in roll on bottles. Flaky Skin: Itchy, Red, Dry Flaky Skin?

Areas of rough, flaky skin do not respond to normal cleansing and moisturizing. These spots of dry, possibly itchy skin don't look pleasant or feel comfortable. Dry flaky skin is usually caused by an athlete's foot infection. Athlete's foot fungus lives in the outer layers of the skin. Fungal infections of the feet are called Tinea Pedis.

When flaky, itchy skin is caused by dry, dead cell build-up, exfoliating the dead surface cells can mean smoother, more comfortable skin and will help moisturizers or medications to work better.

Skin rashes come in many shapes and at every stage of life. No one gets away without at least one rash during a lifetime - from diaper rash to acne to shingles. Although some rashes are more of a nuisance, others can be symptoms of something more serious.

Causes for Dry Flaky Skin
Practical reasons for dry skin: Low humidity, Home heating, Rubbing alcohol, Certain chemicals and cleaning products
Psoriasis
Eczema
Contact dermatitis
Fungal skin infection
Heatstroke
Sunstroke
Hypothyroidism
Uremia
Ichthyosis
Vitamin A deficiency
Natural Treatment for Dry Flaky Skin
The best way to boost moisture in dry, flaky skin is to wash your face with a gentle cleanser, then apply moisturizer while your skin is still damp.

Use an oil-free cleanser to keep the skin's surface clean. Follow with a toner to remove any make-up that remains on the skin. Pat dry and follow with a light, hydrating moisturiser with a pump applicator (to prevent dipping your fingers into anything and transferring it to your face).

Large Pore Treatment: Home remedies to reduce and shrink large pores

Large pores are created in two ways and large pores are present anywhere like nose, face or facial skin. The first is through aggressive squeezing of blackheads and whiteheads, which stretches the pore. The second is heavy sebum production. When the sebaceous gland produces large volumes of sebum, the pore is forced to expand to release the oil and is therefore enlarged.

ENLARGED PORES due to natural ageing process and / or oily skin that has been over dried, forcing dead skin cells to harden in the pores and stretch them.

For some of us, enlarged pores are a daily cosmetic annoyance. The good news is that there are ways to minimise their appearance and smooth out your complexion

Home remedies for the treatment and care for large pores
Mix almond meal with enough water to make a paste. Apply to pores for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water, then apply witch hazel or a solution of apple cider vinegar and water.

Bran and Grapefruit is also used to tightens large pores.

Mix table salt and buttermilk into a paste, apply on enlarged pores and massage well. Rinse with warm water.

If enlarged pores are due to blackheads stretching the entrance of the pore, then firstly remove blackheads using one of the above methods, then to contract pores, blend (one or your preferred mixture) of camphor, sage and / or thyme in a base of jojoba oil. Use as a compress or mix in with your moisturiser and apply to affected areas. Jojoba is easily absorbed into the skin and balances oil levels (which may assist in reducing blackheads as sebum production is regulated).
Tips on reducing large pores
The best you can do is keep pores debris-free with thorough cleansing, exfoliation, masks and professional facials - all will help make pores appear slightly smaller.

If you have problem with spots your doctor may prescribe topical antibiotic, Retin-A or Azelic acid, which is a grain derivative that unblocks pores, exfoliates and kiss bacteria.

homemade recipe for hair conditioner

Hair Conditioning is a way of giving the hair the nourishment it needs to look good. The hair follicles receive nourishment from the bloodstream, but the hair shafts ceases to receive nourishment by way of external care.

Rose Hair Conditioner Recipe
It helps to use a hair conditioner regularly. And while you look for the best brand to buy, you could try this one at home. Soak half a cup of rose petals in hot water for some time. Take half a mashed banana (full if you have long tresses), one table-spoon honey, and a tablespoon of coconut/olive oil. Blend all the four ingredients tin a blender. Massage well into your hair and scalp, and leave the conditioner on for about half an hour. If you can wrap a warm towel around your head the conditioner will have a better effect. Make sure that you wash off conditioner thoroughly with shampoo.

Treat, prevention and cure Home remidies for Sunburn

Sunburn is an acute cutaneous inflammatory reaction that follows excessive exposure of the skin to ultraviolet radiation (UVR)

Sunburn results when the amount of exposure to the sun or other ultraviolet light source exceeds the ability of the body's protective pigment, melanin, to protect the skin. Sunburn in a very light-skinned person may occur in less than 15 minutes of midday sun exposure, while a dark-skinned person may tolerate the same exposure for hours.

Homemade masks and remedies for the treatment of sunburn
Use Aloe Vera - Aloe Vera comes from the aloe vera plant and may be squeezed from its leaves. Purchasing and learning to care for an Aloe Vera plant through the summer can be a wonderfully relieving investment. This healthful moisturizer is frequently used for sunburn and is applied to the affected areas of the skin as a rub to re-moisturize the dried and burnt surfaces. You can also purchase aloe vera creams and ointments that may include other moisturizers or treatments for dry or burned skin.

When baking soda is added to bath water, sunburn sufferers often have a notable reduction in pain. Place 1 cup (8 ounces) of baking soda under the running bath faucet so it dissolves completely. Soak in a lukewarm tub for about 30 minutes. Such a bath will soothe the pain--and you won't have to undergo the stinging sensation of a shower.

A hot shower immediately after mild sunburn can bring about peeling sooner and rid you quickly of discomfort.

Dip some gauze into milk and apply it to your sunburned skin. The tannic acid in the tea draws the burn out of the skin and heals it. After just one application, most sunburns are no longer painful and are much less red. However, this treatment will act on the pain but may not prevent peeling.

Mix two teaspoon tomato juice and four tablespoon buttermilk and apply on the face. Leave for 1/2 hour, and wash off.

Vitamin E, one of the antioxidants, can be taken regularly as part of a daily vitamin and mineral supplement or spread as in an ointment on sunburn. Vitamin C is another antioxidant that will help prevent severe damage from sunburn and shorten its effects. Selenium is a mineral that will help fight sunburn.

Some Home Care tips for sunburn
Sunburn is better prevented than treated. Effective sunscreens are available in a wide variety of strengths. Most doctors recommend a sunscreen SPF level of 30 or greater.

Sunscreen should be generously applied. If out in the sun for a prolonged period of time during the day, wearing a hat and other protective clothing is recommended. Light clothing reflects the sun most effectively.

Mix olive oilwith some vinegar and apply before bath.

Sunburn remedy: How to get rid of sunburn?
If you do get a sunburn:

Try taking a cool shower or bath or placing wet, cold wash rags on the burn.
Avoid products that contain benzocaine, lidocaine, or petroleum (like Vaseline).
Apply cold aloe vera gel, apple cider vinegar, or plantain to help heal sunburn.
If blisters are present, dry bandages may help prevent infection.
If your skin is not blistering, moisturizing cream may be applied to relieve discomfort.
Over the counter medications, like ibuprofen, may help to relieve pain from sunburn. (Aspirin should be avoided in children who are running a fever.)

Instant face Lifts - Natural and NonSurgical Face Lift creams

The "non-surgical" face-lift concept was introduced many years ago through a complicated, multi part system involving numerous products and mixing. Working closely with leading skin care formulators, a revolutionary"pre-mixed" facelift with firming botanicals has been created.

These techniques don't have the same kind of results as surgical techniques. They involve a variety of indirect treatment methods. Things like radio frequency emitters, lasers, and topical creams can all tighten the skin on your face without the need for incisions and tissue reconstruction.

These methods have shorter recovery periods and fewer complications, but also reduced results. These non-surgical methods are better suited for younger people with initial signs of aging that can be easily smoothed out with these maintenance procedures.

Face lifts come in a variety of flavors, but all of them seek to pick up the slack in your face's skin and reduce fine lines and wrinkling.

Homemade remedy for face lift
Combine a handful of strawberries, a handful of grapes, 1/2 pear, 1/2 apple and 1 oz. orange juice in a blender. Apply a thin layer of honey to face, then apply fruit mixture to face. Leave on for 30 minutes. Rinse with warm water. Finish with a rinse of the vinegar pH balancer.

The best and safest method for face lifts is through facial exercising. The proper exercise for face lifts remedies the cause of the aging process of the face by tightening elongated muscles, thereby producing face lifts where the contour has drooped, a firming up where the face appears flabby, and a filling out by rebuilding atrophying muscle tissues.

Such face lifts are done in a natural and healthy way without invasive surgery, at no expense and in the privacy of your own home. The resulting face lifts result in youthful faces, which may be retained throughout life.

Home remedy for makeup removers

Do not sleep in your make-up. As you sleep your skin is busy shedding and replenishing skin cells, so make sure your skin is clean and hydrated.

Apply milk or plain yogurt to face with a cotton ball, then rinse.
Almond or sesame oil on a cotton ball will do a great job of taking off makeup, including water-proof mascara! Megan from PA wanted to share this tip with us that her mom Tami shared with her: "If you use contact lens solution to remove your eye makeup it works just as good if not better than eye make up remover! Just put it on a cotton swab and well...... you get the point."
Eye Makeup Remover
1 Tbsp castor oil
1 Tbsp light olive oil
2 tsp Canola oil
Blend all ingredients together. Apply with tissue or cottonball to remove makeup on and around the eyes.
Using baby oil to remove make-up is great but wash your face well with soap and water afterward or also your pores will get clogged.
