Hair Color - Permanent and Semi-permamnet tint

Many times someone may want to change hair colors, but does not know how it will look. Here is a very good tip to finding out what will look good on you. Go to a wig shop and try on wigs of the color you think you might like to try. These stores have wigs for trying on that are sterilized so they are not unhealthy to try and this can give you a good idea of how you will look.

Even on white hair, a very attractive effect is created by tinting the hair a very light blonde. This gives the effect of blonde hair, but does not look harsh or unnatural.

Can I apply color to wet hair?
We don't recommend it when trying to achieve lift, because the water dilutes your bleach, high/lift or tint. When depositing it can dilute the color, and the results can be not enough coverage because the chemical in the color becomes diluted.

Before you color your hair...
Well, the week before you color you hair, make sure to really condition the ends so that they don't absorb too much color during the process.

Types of hair color dyes
Permanent Tints - If a permanent tint is used correctly, you will always achieve a beautiful effect and semi-permanent tints can be used to maintain these permanent treatments, adding condition. The permanent color will penetrate the inner core of the hair strand and will not wash away as with a semi-permanent color that will wash out after a number of shampoos.

Semi-Permanent Colors - Semi-permanent color give your hair a higher shine and enhance condition, but they won't lift natural hair color. Also, a semi-permanent tint will not cover large amount of grey hair (more than 50%).

Hair color mistakes
The worst thing you can do if you color your own hair is to apply the permanent color throughout your hair every time you color.

Some coloring tips for that extra difference
Streaking is a good option for a brand new look. Done with a change of base color, it looks even better.
Cool colors for women: Coppers, bright reds, mahogany brown and golden blondes.
Cool colors for men: Ash blonde, chestnut brown and honey brown.
Subtle contrasts or dark highlights also work. Add curl to the hair in place of making buns.
